I like someone but I'm scared to approach them because I feel like they're better off than me. They have a job and I don't. Although I'm on my last semester of college and I know I shouldn't beat myself up about it... if anything I should celebrate but I have huge social anxiety. I feel like I won't find a job after this. Also I was in the mental hospital over a year ago so my mom and sister say I'm not ready for a relationship and that I should work on myself even though they don't know about my current crush. But then wouldn't asking them out be a way of working on my anxiety? Who knows? There could be a potential for this person to make me happy or for me to make them happy.
I keep trying to think for myself but even logically and intuitively I'm too blocked to answer this question of whether or not if I should just talk to them. I can't tell if it's my instincts or my anxiety saying no but when I see the bigger picture, I want to say yes, that I should push myself into starting a conversation. I just need a sign right now. Should I do it? Or should I leave it?

That's a tough one, I do see both sides to this so it's kind of hard to say yes or no 🤔
Well, what were you in the mental hospital for? If you don't mind me asking.. and it's been over a year you said? How do you feel now? I mean I assume pretty well considering you are still able to go to school and stuff. If you feel well, I want to say yes just go for it. Like what do you have to loose! So what if they have a job and you don't. It's like you said, you're still fresh out of college, you have plenty of time to think about a job. Don't worry about that. The only way I'd say no is if you still do not feel well or feel like you might still have mental problems. Other than that I don't want to give a direct yes or no. I feel like at the end of the day, it's really up to you and how you feel about it. Hope this answers your question 🙏
