Maybe I'll be the tragically brilliant one

Gone too soon

A flash of lightning, never hitting the same place twice

Else I'll be the NPC some will mourn

But most will forget

That's fine, this is what you wanted.

You never wanted to be more than the timid girl in the corner.

You never wanted the spotlight, never needed the recognition.

But now it's too late.

"It's these new meds or I'll slit my throat," you said.
