Like yeah it makes some people look different but not really "better", it's just a different color on what is otherwise a beautiful/ugly/average person. And I swear I'm not even coming at this from a race angle.
Like there are so many supremely attractive people with brown hair and black eyes. They wouldn't look any better if blonde, some would look worse if anything. Like even if I picture in my mind the most attractive woman, with all the shallow features I want like breast size or the exact way her smile looks... idk hair color doesn't even come into the equation? Does it matter? Like it takes 10 minutes at a Walmart to see that blonde hair blue eyes aren't some cheat code to beauty.
To be clear I'm not saying it's inherently UNattractive either, I'm just so confused as to how that's a beauty standard at all.

Time to stop giving up on SELF!
There's beauty in knowing who you are and the power that you poses. Oftentimes, you count yourself out before even giving yourself a chance. You're Scared t...
I think it just comes down to what’s more rare. Both blonde hair and blue eyes are recessive traits which means they are, and always will be, genetically more rare than black hair & black/dark eyes which are both dominant. Very little to do with visual aesthetics, unless maybe light colors are visually more pleasing (breakaway discussion there).
Think of it this way, have you ever seen a white squirrel? They’re rare but we had one on campus. Just as cute & fuzzy as any other squirrel, but everyone noticed and preferred the white squirrel because instinctively we all knew she was a rarity. Blonde hair & blue eyes isn’t as rare, but it’s the same sort of thing.
Me I personally prefer chestnut brown hair, but I gotta admit I always notice blonde hair first in a room of dark haired people.
ReplyBeauty isn't about hair colour or eye colour. It's about symmetry and bone structure. That is what makes someone visually attractive. If a picture is on a wall and it is squint, that picture will look unattractive to the beholder. If the same picture on the wall is straight, that same picture will look (more) attractive.
ReplyBlonde hair is what makes someone appear younger and more genetically youthful especially if they are older (middle aged). That's why many older women who once had dark or brown hair, now dye their hair blonde or a lighter colour. It's less ageing to have lighter hair when one is older. Youthful looks equals health and better chance for procreation.
