Try wearing hijab
ReplyThen people will know it's a female underneath it. Their female skeleton will be apparent. There's no hiding place.
ReplyFirst, it isn't your fault. I think you know that, but I want to make sure. Second, there is not much that can be done. While I wish there was a sudden change tomorrow that fixed these issues tomorrow, we probably won't be seeing that. The best advice I can give as someone who has been in your boat is to hold your head high and be brave. Stare them down, call them out. (Obviously, call them out when you're safe to do so!) You have more power in you than you know. It takes some time to find and it's easier for me to tell you to be brave from afar than in the moment, but you can do it. Be proud of yourself and be brave. You have control of yourself, not them—don't give it to them. With time, this helps you learn to block them out. So proud of yourself and uncaring of these horrid people, you don't even think to give the time of day. Hold your head up and put on your bravest face—you are better than them and stronger than you know.
ReplyThese things happened to me too when I was young. Men saying and even shouting out disgusting sexual things from cars as I walked along outside anywhere. It is sad and disgusting that all guys think of is sex when it comes to girls. God is said to have made men in HIs image which makes me wonder what God is like at times. Whenever a guy asked me out he expected sex before the night was over. I had 23 boys getting onto me from my age of 15 to 17. Almost one a month. I had disgusting guys saying that they had a wank over me, and it got that way that if a guy didn't want to have sex with me I wondered what was wrong. I had guys touching me where they should not and in a way I enjoyed the attention but I was never left alone by them. But now I am older I am so happy and relieved that they don't do that any more and I am left alone. No wonder I don't want to be married to any of them. You must have a sexy body that attracts them. They should appreciate girls like us instead of being so disrespectful, horrible, and disgusting.
ReplyBeing a female is terrible. She has more changes to get harrassed than any other gender. I don't know who to blame, their society, education , moral values or the nature !!
ReplyThere's only two genders, so all you had to say was " the other gender".
ReplyMen are visual creatures, meaning they respond to what they see. This is why women spend tons of energy and money trying to look good, specifically in societies where they are not controlled by religious tyrants, but I digress. Now the fact that some of these men act like idiotic animals, well that is not on you. But based on my life experience and in my humble opinion, if you dress in a manner that is provocative then you will mostly attract bozos who only have one thing on their mind. Stay in control of you, don't let men turn you into a toy. Best of luck with your academic goals or other dreams.
Courtesy notice: the following includes a reference to a book that contains writings over 2000 years old which are mostly parables about human nature, both vile human nature as well as moral human nature, parables that are meant to teach us to learn and grow, including the teachings of Christ Jesus. No religion required, and better yet: no public displays of devotion required, although the former and latter are admirable if practiced freely out of one's own free will and without the threat of being beheaded. Some bullies will label this "trolling", so "change the channel" now if of no interest to you.
1 Thessalonians 5:11
Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
Mark 12:28-31
And Christ Jesus said the 2 greatest commandments are:
Love God first and foremost.
Love your fellow-being as you love yourself.
From following or not following these, all good or evil cascades, respectively.
Love...that powerful, invisible force that cannot be denied; even atheists live and die by it.
