The best way to learn a foreign language is by starting with their "F-word"

A couple of years ago, I transferred to the US for further education. And it is my first time staying with classmates that is also international students.
And the first word I got from that boy (an international student) is "Bitch".
For years, I have been explaining to myself that he doesn't mean it, he just trying to have fun. But be honest, people came from different backgrounds, and not everyone can accept this kind of word.
I never spoke to him even after I graduated.

College
I am stressed about college. I am a Senior in high school, and this is the time you have to start thinking about college. As of right now, I have been accepted...
I think you're right, if you want to understand another country or culture, listen to how they use profanity. I'm American so I grew up with this. But after traveling to other countries, watching foreign films, reading foreign books in their languages, I realize that America seems to have a unique claim to hurtful obscenities. Words that aren't just for fun or emphasis, but they're designed to wound others.
Other countries don't really understand this from where they are. The french word for sh__ is "merde" but the way the french say it, it's almost like "oops" or "drat". But in America when people say sh__ in an angry tone towards you, it's as bad as a punch in the face. Congrats on avoiding people like that. I wish I could but I'm surrounded.
