" When you’re up against a trouble,
Meet it squarely, face to face;
Lift your chin and set your shoulders,
Plant your feet and take a brace.
When it’s vain to try to dodge it,
Do the best that you can do;
You may fail, but you may conquer,
See it through!
Black may be the clouds about you
And your future may seem grim,
But don’t let your nerve desert you;
Keep yourself in fighting trim.
If the worst is bound to happen,
Spite of all that you can do,
Running from it will not save you,
See it through!
Even hope may seem but futile,
When with troubles you’re beset,
But remember you are facing
Just what other men have met.
You may fail, but fall still fighting;
Don’t give up, whate’er you do;
Eyes front, head high to the finish.
See it through! "

Umm.. what?
My guy friend told me that he had 3 crushes. He told the name of 2 and I was curious about the other one. I constantly asked him. He said it was me. But he says...
Thank you, may God bless you

ReplyThanks for sharing... very wise and inspirational words, and I in my experience very true also.
Courtesy notice: the following includes a reference to a book that contains writings over 2000 years old which are mostly parables about human nature, both vile human nature as well as moral human nature, parables that are meant to teach us to learn and grow, including the teachings of Christ Jesus. No religion required, and better yet: no public displays of devotion required, although the former and latter are admirable if practiced freely out of one's own free will and without the threat of being beheaded. Some bullies will label this "trolling", so "change the channel" now if of no interest to you.
1 Thessalonians 5:11
Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
Mark 12:28-31
And Christ Jesus said the 2 greatest commandments are:
Love God first and foremost.
Love your fellow-being as you love yourself.
From following or not following these, all good or evil cascades, respectively.
Love...that powerful, invisible, intangilbe force that cannot be denied; even atheists live and die by it.
ReplyFor as advanced as modern society thinks it has become we still suffer spiritually. We reject old wisdom because we think we simply 'know better.' Rejection of moral/epistemological truth for relativism quite often leads to existential nihilism. We only need to take one look around to see its effects.
Thanks for the kind words and I appreciate you sharing these scripture quotes.
