I recently had a surgery and lost a lot of weight. I weighed about 115lbs and now I’m at around 97lbs post surgery. I’m trying to find foods to gain weight rapidly. Before the surgery I mostly had muscle due to years of exercising and dance in highschool. I have a very fast metabolism and in top of that with my current work schedule it’s difficult to gain weight. I’m trying to find recipes I could bring to work and school, and foods to eat at home. I’ve lost so much weight that I have stretch marks all over my arms and legs. Help, I don’t know what to do, by bones are physically out. I am 20 years old.

Eat a lot of protein. Like male yourself some hamburgers. You should keep exercising too. Eat eggs for breakfast. Lots of protein. That will help you gain back muscle.
ReplyPeanut butter (unsalted). It is given to starving children around the world by relief agencies, as it's calorific and puts on weight faster than some other foods. It's also palatable for many people.
ReplyI was 20 when I had major surgery. I lost 35 pounds mysf between 24 days in the hospital, and 3 months of rehab and meds killing my appetite. But Protien is where it's at. Protien shakes, and lean meats. Keep up with PT and if any Rehab and get back out there. The weight will come back. Don't sweat it too much. Surgery no matter how minor or major takes a lot out of you and time for your body to heal and rebuild. Take care.
