I get so angry over people making other people feel as if they are worthless, incompetent or 'not enough', especially if it's a loved one. How could they do that to someone? How could they crush someone who looks to them for love and support? Do they get a sick sense of superiority over it? Is love really that expensive to give? What do they have to lose by treating another person better?
So here's what I'll say. To those who were kicked down by others but deserve to be lifted up: YOU DESERVE BETTER. More than ugly words, more than disappointed faces, more than disapproving looks. You deserve love, trust, respect, and support. You deserve everything good and more because God knows that you've done everything to be what they call 'perfect'. You've molded, stretched, kicked and beat yourself up to make other people happy. And I'm telling you now that that's enough. You're enough. You don't have to do anything more. You're lovely enough as you are and if people can't see that, then it's them who has the problem. You've worked hard, so allow yourself to do a little victory dance.
I am so freaking proud of you.
