A Letter To All Dreamers
By Novni Community Member
Remember when you were a child and your mind ran rampant with vivid images of imaginary worlds filled with fictional people and creatures?
Remember when you'd play outside running barefoot in the uncut grass and discovering nature? Or maybe you were the type to play house or act out stories with your childhood friends; and you always thought your ideas were the best ideas. Or maybe you played alone on the family computer investing many hours in a PC game that you enjoyed?
Remember how all of these things seemed so big? Remember how much fun it was, and how happy all those memories were?
Do you notice the common denominator? They all started with you and your beautiful mind. Your wonderful and endlessly imaginative spirit made the dull world around you come to life.
As children we are free to live like this because we do not yet have responsibilities. Then we are told to grow up and our passionate, wondrous side is suffocated. But it’s still inside of us somewhere. Even if it seems to be buried so deep that you need to do some intense digging to find it.
That's your job. Find that spark that made you light up so bright when you were younger when you were free to be so creative. Find the joy in yourself that may be trapped in a locked up corner of your mind.
Start reading more, play an instrument, take painting classes, take up photography, go for a walk with yourself. Find something you're interested in and invest time and money in it. Grow and learn for your own sake. Spend time alone and remind yourself that you are capable of so much. You don't need someone else to tell you that you're great in order to believe it is true.
Remind yourself that your mind is a beautiful place. Once you have realized this, go out and find someone who agrees.
