Explore Kindness

By Novni Community Member

We all fight, struggle, gossip, cry, laugh, and experience love. Despite this, we still often look at other people's lives as if they have no relation to us. We think that if a person acts a certain way or doesn't do the same things that we do, than they are not worth our time connecting with.

Every person on earth has innate worth and was put here to share their gift with the world. Somehow, we seem to forget that and we're left with a big disconnect. I think the missing factor in all of this is genuine kindness towards each other.

I'm talking about the type of kindness that is altruistic, without boundaries, and seeks to only help others. Imagine just earnestly looking at another person you don't even know and giving them a warmhearted smile. Would that make you feel uncomfortable or uneasy? Would you say that it is purposeless to reach out to strangers with such a simple act of kindness? I think the power of a smile is much greater than we realize.

Think for a moment how beautiful life could be if we all tried to genuinely smile once a day at a new person. A small peak of sunshine in someone's day could uplift their soul. It could be the sign someone desperately needed that everything is going to be okay, and it has the power to pull them out of their dark tunnel of life with just a glimpse of light.

My message is simple: Act with kindness towards others. It is not hard, but at times it can uncomfortable. Be the person you look up to. Be the altruistic human being that you admire most. Kindness is the key to making our world become a more amicable and beautiful place to exist.

Smile wide and watch as kindness transforms your life.
