All you people who say “suffering and adversity are gifts” have only ever experienced mild inconvenience and at worst what can be deemed luxury problems.
What you mean to say is it is the observance of other people’s suffering that is a gift because statistically it’s better for you. It’s the moral equivalent of telling somebody the act of stepping in dogshit is good luck.
Show a little intellectual integrity.
