You’re not original, you’re a cunt. Repeat until you understand. To be a good person, there are two ways you could have dealt with the situation. 1) You decide you are superior, and you act in line with that sense of superiority. You use your position responsibly, set clear boundaries and give no mixed messages. 2) You decide you see me as equal. You act in line with that sense of equality, you offer to help me but in turn you are also willing to show vulnerability and accept my help. You accept that if you’re not willing to do that, you can’t expect me to let you into my life, you do your job, act respectfully and respect me as your student. What you actually did gives you zero credibility and reveals you to be a giant turd.
