Your Story Is Not Over Yet

By Novni Community Member

Why do I want to stop people from committing suicide? Because I was there. Hated and bullied all through elementary and high school. No friends except for a few good people. Mocked and dissed on social media for who I am and my different opinions.

Lots of times I wanted to get away from all the disgusting people. I cut to make physical pain because I couldn't handle the mental pain which was far worse and more painful. It didn't help that I suffered greatly from depression and anxiety. I lived like that for most of my life.

12 years of my life was a hell hole. But damn if my past self could see me now! I graduated from High School. I found a job that fits my needs and really is quite nice. My family loves me more than ever, and I have very close and wonderful friends. I also got married to a wonderful man who is always there for me. He helps me through my rough patches and makes it all better.

I want to stop people from committing suicide because it really DOES get better. For me it took 12 years to get better, but it GOT BETTER!! <3

I would have never had the opportunities and experiences I have now if I was dead, and for that I am grateful. My past self put up with a lot so I could be who I am today. I encourage you to hold on because I believe that everyone has a purpose and you will be stronger for persevering through this time in your life. You have endless opportunities ahead of you that you could never imagine.
