A Vow to Myself

By Novni Community Member

I vow to love myself. To love all of my flaws. To love my chaotic scattered brain.

I vow to let myself feel my emotions in their entirety. To feel them first and think about them second.

I vow to give myself a damn break. To make my search for perfection a part of me, but not my whole self.

I vow to learn to smile. To learn to cry. To learn to be confused and know it is okay.

I vow to try and stay in the present. To not be mad at myself for wondering about the past and the future.

I vow to remind myself that asking for help is not weak. To understand seeking help is a strength.

I vow to let myself make mistakes. To live life without constantly worrying about the mistakes I'll make in the future.

I vow to let myself live. To live in a way I feel is best for me.

I vow to keep positive. To always look for a silver lining while accepting the reality of the moment.

I vow to remind myself I am loved. To realize I am important to others and I do bring them joy.

I vow to put my health and happiness above others’ needs. To help others while not forgetting myself.

I vow to try to be the best I can be, but to accept that I will not always know what that is.

I vow to continue to live. To live a life that brings me and others happiness.

I vow to love myself. To give myself a break. To ask for help. To remind myself I am only human.
