Looking for tips and techniques to get a better grip on your anger? Christian Conte, PhD, is an anger management expert that shares his practical theory for “keeping your power” when confronted with a potential angering situation.

At the core of your being is your power source. Anytime someone says hurtful or disrespectful things to you, you are in control of either keeping your power and taking the higher road, or giving away your power to them by arguing back to fuel the fire.

In order to more easily understand this concept, Christian illustrates your power in the video and suggests you try imagining it in physical form the next time anger starts to arise within you.

Christian believes that hunger, thirst, fatigue, and stress can all impact your body to dictate your decision making. If you can pay attention to these areas of your life, you’ll be more likely to react calmer in similar situations.
