I just don't understand and am completely gobsmacked at how in this day and age that people can justify all the horrible things done to animals with comments that they taste good. Maybe they do taste good. I don't know.
For a fleeting moment your tongue tastes dead flesh, muscle, cartilage, and every other part of the animal and in that moment u contributed to killing that animal. How can you not have compassion for the animal you have just eaten? Do you not care? Do you actually know what happens in a slaughter house? Is your fleeting moments of taste worth it?
I do wonder how many eyes are closed either by choice or ignorance. There is absolutely no justice or reason you can give me that satisfies why you should eat dead flesh. Why is taste is more important than the welfare of another living creature who wants to live as much as you and is just as intelligent as your dog ......

Everybody's different. For most of us the gap between our plate and the slaughter house is so large that any mental connection that may have deterred us from wanting to eat meat is too faint.
I personally have no moral problems eating meat that has been ethically farmed. That's my personal choice as yours is to avoid eating meat. I do have a problem with the poor treatment of animals which takes place across the majority of farms in my country which is why I eat very little meat.
The other issues of course are the massive environmental damage and personal health issues caused by over consumption of meat but that doesn't seem to put many people off either. Ultimately I think a lot of people have heard at least some facts about detrimental health effects, environmental impact and animal welfare and if they still choose to eat meat after that how can you argue with them? All we can ask for is that people make informed decisions and if they still choose to eat meat then so be it.
ReplyI agree. We're all different and have different stances on topics. I know about how animals are treated and I'm fully aware of the conditions but when it comes down to it, we're also animals and as sad it may be, I'm being instinct before morality
ReplyYou should be comfortable with your choices, and allow others to be comfortable with their choices.
ReplyWhy are you judging the choices of others?
