I have to attend a funeral for someone I never knew. My friend's grandfather died, but my parents want me to go. I've never been to a funeral before and I'm stressed out. Any advice?

I'm Unsure What to do.
I am apart of a long distance relationship. My boyfriend texts me mostly every day, but I am always begging him to call me. He's done it a couple times before-...
Had a similar situation once. The best thing you can do is just to be there for them. Personally, I've always found funerals a really strange place to be. You'll see a lot of different emotions from people there. I remember when I had to attend a funeral for someone I never really saw in my family and it was different to say the least. I didn't know what to say or if I should say anything at all. It may seem awkward or strange to you attending a service for someone you didn't know, but i'm sure your friend will appreciate you being there and supporting them during a time of grief.
