I’ve always dreamed of being a actress and that’s all I want to do with my life, but my moms not supportive of it. Earlier today I told her I want to go to college for acting and she laughed at me and told me “you will never going to be a actress” and she told me I should do something less mainstream but I don’t want to, all I want to do is act but she’ll never support me and I don’t know what to do.

What can I do?
My friend is angry with me, he says me I don't have to be tiresome. If i say nothing I feel we are distanceing from each other. What can I do?...
I ment “you are never going to be a actress”
ReplyNever give up on your dream. If if you have to repress that dream till the day you can let yourself shine, never give it up, no matter what ANYONE says. It’s your life your legacy, let no one control it.

ReplyYou don't need to go to college to become an actor. And you WILL be rejected by lots of auditions. Getting into acting is not easy, but go for it!! It will take work, determination, and a little luck.
ReplyI think you should go for your dream. You shouldn't let anyone else dictate you what to do *cause ive literally been on the same page, wanted to be an architect but my parents and other relatives kept telling me to pursue medicine* because it's you who's going to carry the consequence of it all, and they're just the ones who give you another advice. But youre the ones who's still going to take the first steps. She's your mom, and it may be hard to do at first, but she needs to accept it and support you all throughout because you're her daughter. Always remember to have complete motivation, faith and trust with yourself and everything else will just follow. And when you're famous; dont forget me! Haha 😂😊
ReplyI agree that you don't necessarily have to go to college for acting. I don't know what grade you're in, but if you have a lot of time to decide what you want to go for, try auditioning for some smaller roles, as an extra or for a local play just to get some experience or to see if that's even what you want to do in life. Find someone who studies there and ask them questions you have before you go for it.
If not, just follow your heart then ,I hope it goes well for you.
ReplyDon't lose hope on your dream. I have set the same goal and my parents don't believe in me or support me in anyway. But I don't care what they think. It's your life and your choices. Follow your passion and let no one step in the way
