I had a "dream" that I woke up suddenly with "something holding me" and I couldn't move or speak. I freaked out and started wiggling my feet, because I read on the internet that trying to move your toes can help during a sleep paralysis, but that didn't work. I tried dragging myself out of bed and calling for my cousin (she's currently sleeping on the floor, next to my bed) and it did work because she replied "what?", But then I would "wake up" and go back to the same position I originally was?? So I started praying to Jesus, wiggling my feet frenetically, fantasying about getting help, all while I tried to hold back a intense sleep. God, everything felt so heavy.
Woke up eventually, all is fine and dandy but it's 6 am, I haven't slept at all (because when I finally got to sleep, THAT happened), my body is tired because I'm sick, and I'm scared of sleeping again.
I just want to sleep well and wake up feeling good :(

I have experienced this and also when sometimes when I am falling asleep my body will go and yet I’m aware of it. So my body starts it’s slower breathing and it becomes out of my control. I can barely move like my body is very heavy, and it freaks me out so I tense up my whole body and force myself to wake up. Its like our consciousness is not in sync with our brain that is fallen by asleep. I don’t know how to stop it but it only happens randomly. I do believe it could be stress related because I do stress a lot about everything. I don’t think it’s a bad thing, it just scary when it happens. So my only advice is to try and tense up your whole body as if you are trying to explode up out of bed, that is how I get out of it. Wish you luck!
ReplyI would recommend you to try yoga! that will definitely help.
ReplySleep paralysis sucks! I've had worse an scarier experiences than that but everybody's is different. Usually with me it only happens one time a night, so hopefully u sleep/slept better. Also if u learn to lucid dream, it can help u to better control ur paralysis when u go bak to bed. But i get it, its scary sometimes jus to think about going back to sleep.
Replyi have got these so many times i not scared now i think it happens usually when our heart is having a type of pressure on it cause us to feel paralysed but at the time you are having sleep paralysis try and let you muscles relax in know we think that we are paralysed because we cant contract our muscle but still just leave your body lose specially your left shoulder not a professional but it always worked for me
