My friend has had past problems with self harm and she has attempted in the past to commit suicide. It’s been a few years now and she has gotten to a low point where she takes drugs and scratches her legs to where there bright red and puffy if that makes any sense. I’m not sure if she has started to hurt herself again, but she told me today that she’s addicted to cutting again and I don’t know what to do. I don’t want her to hurt herself but I don’t know what I can do to help her, she doesn’t have money to afford a counselor or to get help. I don’t know what to do because it feels like she’s looking to me for help and I don’t know what to do to help her.

A secret I've never told anyone and why
I hadn't cut for a long time, since December 15th of 2017, one month after I lost a dear friend. Now, here at college, I realized just how much I missed the pai...
Just be close to her as much as possible...
ReplyTell her family or those around her!
Don't be afraid to talk to anyone as long as you let them know...your intentions are good!
ReplyThe best possible thing you can do as a friend is show her you are there to help that your views about her won't change.. My friends half the time don't say a word to me they sit there quietly while I constantly talk about my desire to kill myself and it helps so much going on walks also helps because sometimes you need to get out and see nature or just your surroundings.. Today I felt empty and all I wanted to do way lay in bed because my body felt so heavy my friend asked me to go on a walk and I was able to get everything off my chest and before the walk I couldn't figure out how to talk about anything.. Maybe try walks or getting her to do some relaxing activity she likes
