I have a serious question to ask. Recently, I've realised I've been gaining a lot of weight. I'm clearly not really happy but I don't want to try and starve myself.
Everyday when I wake up, my mum gives me a snickers bar or a kitkat. I eat 2-3 pizza slices for brunch. I usually skip lunch or have rice with curry. At night, I have rice or noodles. I don't have my evening tea. I'd like to change my eating habits. Please help me.

My daughter likes chocolate. She even have it when she's on her period. I honestly don't know how she can change her eating habits. But I'd like her to stay healthy

What is your opinion on joining the military?
It seems really ironic because this didn't seem to be a thing that my past self of years ago or even a few months ago would ever, ever consider doing. It seemed...

Edible..
I had my first edible last night and i had the worst experience/reaction. It was so so bad.. but anyway, my question is when I first woke up this morning i was...
Eating healthy is not a starving yourself. You can perfectly feed yourself on healthy food.
Try to gradually change your eating habits. Don't attack your parents over this bad diet. I'm sure there's a reason they ended up with this bad habit, it doesn't make them bad people. Just casually explain that eating healthier is something that interests you and ask them to support you in this.
Everyone has good habits and bad habits. Copy your parents' good habits and ditch their bad ones.
ReplyWay too many carbs, too much sugar. Increase vegetables and proteins.. and start some kind of exercise
ReplyTry to gradually cut foods out of your diet, the small changes lead to a big change. Don't go cold turkey and decide to only eat carrots and fruit for the day because chances are you won't be happy and will give in to hunger/cravings. Wake up and say okay... today Im only allowing myself to have half a snickers bar today instead of the whole one. Next day say okay today lets try Half a snickers and only 1/2 slices of pizza. Then continue this and eventually you will gradually cut down on your bad habits. It takes time and don't feel bad if you give in, everyone does it. Recognize your accomplished goals and also be aware of your bad ones, how did you feel when you gave in to eating an extra candy bar? Were you sad or mad at the time? Were you actually hungry? listen to your body and try to see why you eat when you eat and what you are eating. So next time if you give into brownies when your sad you know for next time you are sad to try to cope a different way, maybe with strawberries. Work with your daughter on creating eating goals together, having a support system makes a huge difference. ALSO, DONT LISTEN TO THE SCALE. Numbers don't always give best results, listen to how you look and feel thats what is important.
