Hey, I need advice. I am taking three APs right now and the fear of failing is stressing me out. I understand and do not struggle with the workload, it's just... I am so scared that I will do bad that it's stressing me out. Sounds crazy... but I'm not used to getting anything below an A. Ugh... I don't know if I should drop.

Don't worry so much, the stress will do you in faster than the work. Really, it's not as impossible as it sounds. Yes, the due dates are sooner, and the work is harder, but if you were diligent and intelligent enough to make it this far, then they should be a breeze! Just keep up with homework, and study for your A.P. Finals sooner than later. Good luck!
ReplyThank youuuu
ReplyIf you've put the work and time into the test, there is no way you can fail! =)
Don't stress to much, you've got this one in the bag =)
ReplyYikes, it's me from the past!
Well, when it comes to advanced placement, you gotta be flexible when it comes to grades. Sure, you can strive for an A, and you may very well get it; but, don't start thinking it's the end of the world if you get a B or C minus; of course, it's important to try your best, but it's equally important to be aware of your limitations. Don't push yourself too hard, but don't go too easy. With AP classes, it's all about prioritizing and scheduling (learned that the hard way). Don't procrastinate--of course, this is so much easier said than done--and things should go fine; if you don't understand some of the material, ask for additional help, or let the teachers know it could take you a bit longer to understand it than your peers. Stress is, unfortunately, a part of life; it's all about how you handle or alleviate it. And how you manage that is up to whatever's best, or works, for you (I don't know you, and therefore haven't read you enough to help in that regard). Disappointment is also apart of life (and trust me, I fully understand the pain of getting less than an A); but, like I said, it's a matter of how you deal with it. And don't begin thinking that a letter grade measures your intellect--the fact that you're qualified to take AP classes should be proof enough.
As for dropping a class, like I said, it's important to be aware of your limits; if you think it'll be too much for you to handle, then do what you gotta do. If not, then do what you gotta do. Now, I'm not telling you what to do one way or another, it's all just suggestions. In the end, you'll do whatever it is you want to, but I do hope this advice helps a little.
ReplyAP classes get you as far as about one semester in college anyway. If you are applying for some prestigious university then it might help you look better, but if not, itโs not even worth it.
ReplyI'm taking four types of college classes and I'm stressed too. We'll get through this year and finish it strong! My snap is itzjuztallie if you ever need help with any of your classes or if you ever need to talk. What classes are you taking?
ReplyOnly drop out if you are sure that these courses will screw you over. Whether you pass the AP test or not you will still receive the high school credit. It is extremely normal to get B's or even C's when it comes to an AP course. I understand how stressful it can seem, because I am too a student obsessed with receiving strictly A's. I struggle to handle grades any lower. You need to understand that a C in an AP course is placed higher than an A in a regular or even honours class.
ReplyI completely understand what you are going through. I'm taking three myself, and it's extremely stressful. I know you want straight A's, but let loose and unplug a bit. An AP class is just a class at a college level, and you can always retake them if you feel the need to. It's going to be okay. Do not give up because the school year is near the end. ALL that matters is that you gave it your all and that YOU tried!! Keep pushing forward :)
