My Dream and My Future
When I was nine years old, I had taken an interest in Japanese animation, also known as "anime." Anime changed my whole world, due to the fact that I was extremely lonely back then since I moved around a child and on top of that, I was extremely shy then. But when I would watch anime, I felt as though I wasn't alone and that my eyes were opening to wonders the world had to offer. Soon enough, I was gaining more confidence in myself, causing me to not be as shy and bit by bit, the more open I became, the more my love for anime and Japan grew.
In every anime that I watched, there would be a scene that depicted a part of Japanese culture that would peak my interest. Soon, my curiosity became my love for Japan. I loved how they love their people, how they treat one another, how they come together, how they have hidden meanings for even the smallest of things. It genuinely makes me happy to know that I wasn't the only one who thought that there was more to everything.
As my love for Japan grew, the more I wanted to go there. The more I wanted to see everything that I dreamed about in person. During high school, I developed my skills in the Japanese language as well as in the arts. Art has been in my life, for as long as I can remember. I want to combine the things that I love with all my heart in my future. And that is Japan and art. I want to be an art teacher in Japan. I want to learn and experience more in Japan's art scene. But in order to do so, I must have the funds to do it. My goal is to go to Japan by the year 2020. I will continue to work towards my dream, no matter how long it takes. But with the help of others, I can reach my goal even sooner, and that would mean the world to me.
