Helpless
I hate the fact that I feel empty on the inside when someone else is complemented not in any bad way but I could feel my mind get engulfed in some kind of a sor...
umm if you have social anxiety, theres no way around it but to just go and talk to people.. just make it a goal to talk to a random person at school or something, atleast once or twice a day and see how comfortable u get
get used to taking on presentations or anything with public speaking cause after that, im sure youd have enough confidence to talk to damn near anybody or everybody
and most importantly incorporate breathing exercises and if really committed try out meditations
ReplyWhat you have to do is just do it, even if you are scared. I missed out on a big oprotunity to go on a trip but i didnt go because i was too scareed that someone older than me would judge. I didnt know what to wear or how to act. I was also new to this group of friends. It has been 3 years since and I still regret not going. It ok to be uncomfortable and scared you will make it through and EVERYTHING WILL BE OKAY.
ReplyWith my GAD I have realized that self awareness helps. So for example if I have a anxious or negative though, instead of pushing it away or running with it, I stop it and look at it (figuratively) and see if its logical or not. for example "I am alone and all my friends are just tolerating me until they can leave" stop it and say "does this make sense?" I'm not all alone because I have friends and my family near me (if not supportive) and if they really wanted to leave why would they treat me like a friend? Wouldn't they have gone already and not dragged it out for months or years? so that's one of my big ones. Also deep breathing I know it sounds stupid at times but you don't even have to do all that counting stuff just breathe as deep as you can and slowly let it out. it can also help if you imagine your bad thoughts leaving with the breath.Calming yourself is the first priority, however you can do so as long as it doesn't hurt yourself or others. Also know that its ok to cry. Sometimes after I cry I feel like the tears have washed the bad thoughts from my brain so I can focus on breaking any bad habits associated with my anxiety spells. ReplyLiterally Lavender Extract tablets. Can't tell you how well they shut down the anxiety relay for me. Life changing, i don't even get adrenaline for an interview if I take them.
