Lying to someone about anything important, from their medical history to betrayal of trust and so on, is a cause for great concern. I would be feeling unsafe around those who pretend and conceal the truth from me. Right then and there, it would be difficult to see that they deserve love and respect. Matters, situations and circumstances that are of great importance, should always be made known. That person or people involved should know the truth, but instead is being lied to or kept in the dark. It has never been a good idea in the history of man to deliberately lie and hide truths.
The results are much more devastating, than when the truth was given and confronted. People who lie to the person about important matters, should understand that there is no excuse and justifiable reason to hide the truth, when it's their given right to know. It's purely selfish and despicable to keep things from other people and who are involved. I couldn't possibly understand why anyone would want anybody like this in their life...
Trust is earned and built.
If people truly care about you, they mention the truth whether it would hurt or not. It shouldn't be left unmentioned.
People need to stop lying and covering up the truth when it's important. Especially, from the person who should be made aware of the truth. This world is discouraging enough and we don't need to make it worst, based on withelding information and concealed truths. It's vaild when it's deserved, needed and right for any individual to know the truth about themselves and what's going on within situations which they're involved.
It's pretty reasonable if you ask me. However, some people just fuck that up too and it's the most simplest of things in having common sense.
There's no buts or ifs.

Are you talking about Stds?
ReplyNot specifically and just STD's. I'm talking about everything that's important, that you should know about that involves you.
Being cheated on, being in danger, if being exploited, if someone made false but serious accusations against you. If your doctor knows something about your health. Anything criminal. Anything that involves you, that's important and your name is mentioned. You have every right to know the truth about it.
ReplyI know and I agree. However, I do know that sometimes people aren't honest- not about things that place a person at risk of physical harm- for reasons that aren't intended to be harmful. And they apologize, many many times. And they try to make amends. And, if given the opportunity, they would be willing to spend the remainder of their lives earning back trust. And it is in these cases that people deserve to be given a second chance. Humans make mistakes, it is part of our humanity.
ReplyPeople will lie and cover the truth even if it potentially will and can hurt a person mentally, emotionally and physically. As long as it benefits them and they get away with it. These people will screw that person over because they don't care to lie and cover the truth up. They'll lie and hide the truth if it meant they would avoid getting in trouble themselves.
People can be really nasty like that.
Most cases, people know exactly what they're doing when they lie and hide the truth. They know that lying is wrong and so is concealing the truth, when it should be told. It's not a mistake it's a choice and it's still not always excusable.
White trivial lies is something entirely different and are generally easier to be forgiven. Compared to lying and covering the truth that are much more serious. Example; a crime, an offense, medical condition and things that impacts or changes a person's life. Another things, is if it also brings harm to a person or has intentions to cause harm to someone and should be made aware of it.
I think if someone had lied, hid the truth but finally admit to it and felt remorseful. Then yes, it can be forgiven once they tell the truth of course. It's entirely up to that person who was lied to,deceived, mislead and was kept from being told the truth.
The people who lied and hid the truth from somebody, they have to tell the truth first and foremost,no pretending. Then it may be forgiven and be given a second chance if it seems fit.
Mistakes are mistakes and choices are choices.
ReplyI agree totally. I've seen private docs in the past for a numerous reasons and its not on any record sometimes people don't disclose info in order to protect loved ones.
ReplyThat's never going to protect loved ones. Lying and concealing the truth from your loved ones, isn't going to keep them safe.
I still don't believe that's justified either. I think it's worst to trust those whom you'd expect love and care about you, would have the decency to tell you the truth. It's worst to find out later that they lied. I couldn't forgive that and there's no reason for it.
ReplyWhat? My mum will never know I had a cancer scare , never !
Or anyone else I love for that matter ! And they will never know unless the lymph returns and I have no choice but to say something. I didn't want anyone to know and I have my reasons , my decision.
