The end of all things,
I admit it stings,
By the silver gleen,
And by the scarlet sheen.
Please define "alive",
By the blade of a knife.
Don't say, "By heartbeat."
That's far too concrete.
But by ruby red,
My skin as I bled.
By a moonlit tear.
My death is so near.
And yet, still I breathe.
At the thought, I seethe.
"Hold on and stay strong."
Just like any song.
"I'll catch you if you fall."
I've just fooled them all.
I've already fallen down,
Lying six feet underground.
