Celebration of existence through Festivals

The streets are going to be lit with flickering colourful lights. Several lit Diyas and candles embodied by each household would perfectly grace the festival of lights. Glittering faces all around would only have warmth and blessings to offer. Despite sitting miles apart, I can envisage the distinct aroma emitted by flowers into the atmosphere, the ringing bells and tuneful prayers hitting your eardrums, the iris sparkle by the illumination around, delicious delicacies to satisfy your sweet tooth, alluring Rangoli creations adorning the place, all of which will add to the tranquillity of the surroundings and this beautiful occasion. I have vivid memories of the celebrations which used to start weeks before including showcasing your courage to burst crackers while holding them in your hands, making not-so-perfect rangolis, lighting up the diyas and offering prayers to name a few. Honestly, at that time more than anything, I used to be happy for having 2 days off from school, more play time with friends and not opening my scribbled books. And now, the situations may have changed but I continue to practice all those rituals at an individual level to embrace the occasion, but my vision has certainly changed. The festival signifies the joy of togetherness, spreading smiles on unknown faces, allowing the light around you to illuminate your mind and soul and being grateful to the Almighty for this glittering life. It’s a celebration of love, harmony, acceptance, good relationships and satisfaction. We shall continue to celebrate this togetherness and try to bring light in the lives of the people around us. A very joyous, sparkling and glittering Diwali to everyone! 💥💫 May this Diwali bring peace of mind, satisfaction, real joy and peaceful sleep in all our lives. I am sure we all need these more than anything else.
