So I am currently 15 years old and I was born with bleached blonde hair. And now my hair is dark brown and I absolutely hate how it looks on me. I really want to (temporarily) dye my hair a natural ombre or dirty blonde color but my parents aren't convinced about me dying it. I need ur help/advice!

She wakes up cold with no hair on her head. She feels too ugly to get out of bed. She thinks this society will shame her. She forgets all of her self worth....
Just tell your parents that you feel more comfortable with the blonde hair that you used to have. As long as you are dying it for yourself, and not other people in order to fit in, I really don't see a problem. Go for it! It is just that nowadays, most people change their appearance for the likes of others and sometimes, it is just because of peer pressure. If this is the case with you, I'm not saying that you shouldn't dye your hair, but think about it. Is it really worth it?
Replylisten to your parents, that's the best you can do for now. they know what's best for you.
Replyhttps://www.scarymommy.com/let-your-teen-dye-their-hair-if-they-want/ show them this. This is kind of a request is minor and superficial so it is easy for parents to dismiss it as unnecessary. But the reality is that, especially at your age, small boosts of confidence like this go a long way when you are at such a tender age. Girls take a deep dive below boys on average happiness levels at around age 15/16 and it is because of the realized pressures of physical appearance and changes in your bodies. It is a formality that is unavoidable but temporary, so the best thing to do to mininize it is to appease it in ways that are healthy (do dye your hair vs don't starve yourself). If you will feel more confident, why not. Even if your parents don't like it, the reality is that the important thing is if you like it and feel good in it. Explore doing things that make you happy, expression is important and it will help you figure out who you are and who you want to be. Have fun blondie :)
