I'd like to think I have good friends. I have fun hanging out with them but whenever it's just one on one, there isn't anything to talk about. I try to engage with a topic but all that happens is a quick one two. I feel like a third wheel, like although I've been friends with them for four to five years now, their bonds have grown while mine have just stagnated even declined. Originally we bonded over video games and now whenever I message them online and don't get a reply I get anxious. I get this stifling feeling waiting for them to respond or at least show some sign of interaction. All my feelings are too long to be put into words but I can't keep this up anymore. I'm rarely invited to their outtings unless I stumble upon their conversations then they extend one out to me. When they league I rarely get an invite unless I initiate myself. Is it my fault? I can honestly say I am a nice guy. I try to involve everyone and not leave anyone out but it seems like all that does is make me fade into the background. I'm always plan B. Should I just cut contact with them because I'm going into university next year and I won't be seeing them again very soon. My holiday is a few months long, what should I do with this lonliness?

Download wattpad if you like to read. You can talk online. Or write a book if you want to. Any other hobbies? If you have. Read novels? There's a lot. I'll let you know some more if you want to know.
ReplyI read a lot, particularly Asian novels and manga. I also have a hobby for building model kits but the costs are high due to my country being fairly isolated. Whenever there isn't anything to do I'll be reading. Writing a book sounds nice but I have no clue on how to get started. My other passion is drawing but inspiration is hard to come by for me.
ReplyKeep trying. And writing a novel would be anything. Try a plot and check with people if it's nice or worth it...everybody has an imagination..I'm sure you have a pretty one:)
ReplyTry to talk to them about how you feel about your relationship. If it all ends badly, you can always try to make new friends. This last advice may be hard but, remember, for trying nothing is lost.
ReplyI can't do that. I know them well enough that doing so would ruin everything or change nothing at all. But still, your advice made me think that it's better to just move on. It's been something I've been pondering since the beginning of the year and since I won't see them much anymore, I think it's the right choice.
ReplyYes, I know it may be hard...but it's the best for you. I know what that state you're going through is.
I hope you can find all the attention and happiness you deserve soon. Good luck.😊❤
