I have struggled with acne for the past two years almost three and I've tried countless products and medications and nothing has worked. And when I stop using what I put on my face now, it gets even worse. I just cry all the time because of how ugly I feel every day and I feel embarrassed to be out in public now. Anyone know what to do because I'm so drained

How do I change my attitude and personality?
2018 was a terrible year for me and 2019 just started and it's looking to be even worse. (Yeah, it's only January 1st 2019 and it already sucks). On a side note...

Frustrated at New Year’s Eve
New Year’s Eve. Supposedly a good time. I want to enjoy but I’m trapped in family drama. My Dad’s infedility and 16 years affair with another woman is...
Sometimes It can really just be hormones. Or it could be that you need to see a specialist instead of a regular doctor. Last time i took medication for acne I ended up throwing up everyday I took them. Also, have you tried noxzima or however you spell it. It helps with mine. please don't cry, i'm sure you look wonderful, even if you do have acne. :)
ReplyAcne doesn't make you ugly and it's not your fault that you get acne. The good thing is that it can be helped but it takes alot of patients and time. It's not the end of the world even though it can feel that way and makes you insecure. There's so many people in this world who have or had acne.
Cheer up, there's specialist that can help you out.
ReplySometimes people look at acne like its more medical than anything else but I see it as a mixture of hygenic and hormonal issues that really don't need medical treatment just to be tackled hygienically before anything else
Even though I have never personally suffered from acne I have seen others that do, do nothing cosmetically to eradicate the problem
Doctors will tell you not to squeeze, pop or irritate the pimples caused by acne because it will leave scars on your face and that popping pimples does more harm than good plus popping one after the other transfers bacteria from pus y pimples to other areas causing infections and just tell you to leave pimples unpopped and they will go away on their own
That's the dumbest adcice
ReplyAdvice I've ever heard
Go back to basics
Pusy pimples are caused by blocked pores and oily skin types are most affected right?
I say pop em all then thoroughly cleanse your face with a mild soap afterward to remove any excess oil on your skin then if you wish use a acne cream or facial scrub to ensure any bacteria is killed and do this every day and you should see a huge improvement in your facial skin or problem acne spots of your face
People say ewww I'm not popping the pimples pus is gross blah blah
No what is gross is leaving that shit in your skin and inflaming the problem and seriously what is beneficial to letting bacterial pus stay in the skin?
It make no sense so squeeze that crap out and thoroughly cleanse then dry out the pores don't wear makeup because it just makes it worse
Skin is actually a live mechanism and so needs to breathe and sweat through the pores healthily and it can't do so when oily skin continues blocking the pores and not allowing it to do so
Just basic commonsense really
Pop
Cleanse
Dry out with soap
Leave face clean and uncovered so pores can breathe and heal the skin
Do daily and I bet my life that your acne condition will vastly improve
ReplyI heard q tips run under hot water instead of your fingers is better for popping pimples Mabie try that. Try to not eat greasy foods or chocolate.
ReplyI did this and it developed into a horrible disorder called dermatillomania where I constantly pick at my skin when I see the slightest imperfection, causing more wounds and scarring. It has ruined my life.
So popping pimples is a dangerous habit to start.
Replymaybe change your diet
ReplyI understand how you feel. I find it hard to go out in public without plenty of makeup to cover up the scars on my face. I've suffered acne more than once in my life. I found Roaccotane or however it is spelt , helped but it did thin my skin out and makes scars last longer.
If you can stop acne through a change in diet that's ideal but I know it's not easy. I try to remind myself that lives too short and I can't miss out on it just because I don't look good. I catastrophise the situation in my head. My feelings equate my pimple and scarred face with "not worthy of love". I would never think that about another person so why would others think it of me?!
Sometimes we really are our own worst enemies.
Please learn the lesson that life might be trying to teach... love yourself more. That's what I'm working on. Wish you the very best of love and strength to work your way out of the pain x
