lately I’ve been suppressing all my feelings. whenever I’m sad, I force myself to get over it. In my family I’m not allowed to cry or be sad, so naturally I’ve forced those feelings down so far. But now I feel different. I’m hurting so much but I can’t actually feel the pain. I know that once i let go of all those bottled up feelings I’ll frel better, but I just can’t. I can’t just reach down and grab them.
How do I pull up all those feelings and finally let go and feel what I need to?

ReplyI bottle my feelings up too, so much so that I didn't even know how much anger and sadness I had in me until a certain issue was brought up. One thing I've found helpful is writing letters to people, whether it's on paper or online. I never send them, but it helps me get out those feelings. Maybe you could try that and see if it works.
Replysame as well, i write letters i never plan on sending as a way to release everything, i find it helps. Its nice to know im not alone
ReplyI feel the exact same way. My family wont allow me to cry or be sad as well so i never confide any of my feelings to them and my friends never seem to care so i bottle my feelings up now i'm just so sad.
