When girls at 5 played with Barbie, I played with cars.
When girls at 10 were trying to wear sarees, I was putting on dad’s pants.
When girls at 15 were taking selfies with filter, I was checking out neighbour’s motorcycle.
When girls at 18 were dumping makeup on their face, I was struggling to get my driving license.
When girls at 20 were taught to cook, I was teaching myself to change car tyres.
These are my likes, my wishes, my choices over the things that girls at my age do.
Society always questioned me and thrown weird stares at my boy clothes, shoes, way of walking, etc.
I am fed up of these hectic questions by them.
Should I change myself for an unworthy society that looks at me with eagle eyes every secs???

Fuck society. Be yourself and own it.

ReplyHmm it's the Indian society(Indian here too XD) and it will never change . Fuck Society. Be who you are, people are going to talk behind your back no matter what. so be yourself and do what you love not what others love. REMEMBER:"Never change yourself into something you don't believe in"
ReplyYea thanx a lot.. Not planning to change myself ♥️
Replygoooooddd ^^

ReplyI agree. Indian society is such a fuckup place. I hate the mentality. You just be yourself. People wont stop saying. All you need to do is ignore. And I know sometimes its hard to ignore but jist talk it out to an open minded person (I prefer a stranger) and someone who wont judge you.
Take care:)
Replyyes!! it's gonna decades for the Indian society to change! I remember, just a few months ago I wore the jeans that I had cut short and I folded it up so it looked better, my mom told me to never wear it again as it showed my stretch marks on the part under my knee. I asked her why was she ashamed of it when I wasn't. I told her I'm proud of my stretch marks and i don't care what people think about me, like it, so i'm gonna wear this no matter what.
ReplyYou're telling me. Hell I'm not straight. Every time I think about when my parents would come to know...I just laugh to know they might as well abandon me. In our country, this generarion understands every fucking thing. But the elders. Ugh. I hate their mentality. I wish I had magic to change all of it.
Replywhat are you? i'm bisex too, though i don't want to come out to my parents right now.
ReplyI don't term myself with a word. But I have a girlfriend. Me neither. I dont want them to know
Replyoh okay, that's fine. telling my parents now will only complicate things for me, and they don't need to know things right now or even later, cuz i have a higher liking towards males.

ReplyI played with cars, I worked in the garage, I hung out with the boys, I still hardly wear make up, I skateboard, I wore men's pants until I got a butt and couldn't, I wear band Ts and flannels, I talk like a guy, I worked in a machine shop, I took welding, I fish, I hunt, I ride four-wheelers and dirt bikes, I wear boys shoes, it's called being a tomboy... And there's 100% nothing wrong with it... I still like guys. And my relationships are better than most because I've grown up around guys and doing guy things. Like I said. There's 100% nothing wrong with being a tomboy. At least youre true to yourself and not trying to impress society.... Don't change yourself to impress others. You'll only depress yourself.
ReplyWoah good inspiration. Thanx for your words♥️
ReplyWho gave society permission to run your life? If you aren't a "girly girl" so what? Who cares? If you are comfortable with how you are as a person, don't change a thing.
ReplyThank u♥️
ReplyI hate society they always judge you for your gender i will never be that kind of person If my son wants to wear a skirt i will buy him 10000 of them.
ReplyHehe ur gonna be a cool parent for sure! ♥️♥️
