I can't figure out how one can gain confidence, feel good and happy with themselves if they have physical flaws that are considered unattractive (ugly)???
If you're not societies standards of "beauty", how can one not compare and feel secure within themselves?
I feel that there's so much wrong with my appearance and I need to fix it. I have this belief, that if I fix my "ugly" flaws, I will feel better about myself and be more confident.
...I don't know any other way to feel better about myself.

Based on Psychology
Based on psychological study, it indicates that when you cannot get someone off your mind, that person is thinking of you too. Is it true?...
What makes you think that societies standards of beauty are what every person deems beautiful?
As cliche as it sounds beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Take me for instance, when I tell my friends I find a particular guy attractive they look at me like I'm nuts, they don't see what I see and that's fine, I don't find their type of guy particularly attractive so to each their own and it means we never fight over guys lol.
Yes society dictates that in order to be classed as beautiful you must fit into a certain type of look, weight, height blah blah blah but genuine people look far beyond that, the more you get to know someone and their personality, humour and for me quirks and eccentricities shone through, the more attractive they become.
Shallow people seek the "standard" beauty, people with depth and who seek more value look further than a pretty face and perfect body.
ReplyI'm aware and know the while beauty is in the eye of the beholder...blah blah blah. It doesn't answer any of my questions.

ReplySorry, ok to answer your question you have to accept yourself, sure you can try and fix this and that about your appearance but you'll always find something else you're not happy with and where does it end?
There will always be people out there who are "more attractive", a yard stick you will continue to measure yourself against and find yourself lacking unless you choose to accept yourself for the way you look.
Plastic surgery, fillers, botox? Yeah you could go down that path if you really wanted to but like I said there will just be something else and then another that you want to fix and its potentially dangerous and definitely expensive.
