Hi, I'm writing here because I keep on wondering on some things. I used to have self-proclaimed anxiety problems, depression, etc. coz I feel like I do have. I once worked in a very happy environment. My happy attitude and jolliness overcame that anxiety side of mine. But I had to quit coz that happy environment is fake. (like, people are smiling but deep inside, they are sad). I am not working for like 5 days here at my new job and that anxiety is coming back. I dunno what to do... is this just some kind of transition problem or process? Do you think I can also make and build a happy environment in this new job?
They said, "Do not expect to be friends with everyone". Is this what they mean? I try to be friendly.. sometimes... but it hurts to think that my anxiety and shyness is screwing me all over again... i dunno...

I think it’s the new environment that’s tripping you up. Just give yourself some time to adjust and find a friend. It might take a few days or even a few weeks but it’ll happen.
Also I don’t think fake happy is all that bad as long as one person give a genuine smile because of all the fake happy.
I hope the new job works out for you! :)
ReplyYeah, someone (actually maybe around 1-3 people?) actually cared and gave his genuine smile. I kinda miss them :( However, they were from a different department. My dept before had neutral to worse kind of work environment.
Thanks! I won't let my emotions rule my life! Let's go, fight! :)
