For a long time, and for many different reasons, I felt like I was empty. I wasn't really sad, but I just felt... blank. Nothing. I didn't want to do anything, to talk to anyone or to see people, I didn't want to get up and I cried so many times, without a reasonable excuse. I didn't brush my hair, I didn't fix my nails, I only brushed my teeth when I had to. I don't want to say I was actually depressed because I was never diagnosed and I don't think I have the right to self diagnose myself, but lets call it depression for now.
Then one day, I was having a good evening. I went home, went in the bathroom and looked at my toothbrush. I picked it up, and I brushed my teeth, reaaally good. I put some effort in it for once. When I was done, I checked my teeth out so I smiled. Then I kept doing it. Every day, in the morning and in the night. It made me want to clean my room, to do face masks and listen to music and sit and coffee shops, and so I did. It made me fix my nails and brush my hair and talk, and I am doing so much better. I'm really working on it, and it gets hard sometimes, but every time I smile after I brush my teeth, I get this good feeling that I'll be fine. It's either the end of the day, or the start of a new one, and I approach it with a smile now.
And I'll be okay.

its like how after you have the flu or throw up you brush your teeth and you suddenly feel really good.
brushing teeth just makes you feel shiny and new. glad you are getting help even if its from a toothbrush x))
hygiene is important and it really helps moods. ( like taking a shower! )
