So like, I was just curious of different people's opinions.....Isn't it normal for strait girls to hold hands with other girls, sit on their laps, and be huggy etc.? Because where I live, I see and do it often with my girl friends and it is completely platonic. Ok, well maybe it doesn't happen with older woman as much, but I see it happen with girls in their early 20's or younger. I think of it as normal, but actually know this family of guys who see it and think it is weird haha.

I don't do that with my girlfriends and never will. I only hold hands with my boyfriend or whoever I am dating. To be out in public and sitting on anyone's lap? Holding hands with a girl you are not dating? Being huggy after the initial hug? - immature and you want attention. It was a thing in the early 2000's to mid 2000's to be a straight girl and to be on other girls for attention, it's not anymore.
ReplyI disagree. Yeah, maybe some girls may do it for attention. But I think it may be a way of seeking affection in a platonic way, not attention. I don't do it, but my sisters do. Physical affection is not just for people who want to do each other. It's for anyone who's love language is touch.
ReplyBeing bi I never did this because I would only do that with a SO. But, my straight galfriends would do it all the time, including braiding/playing with each other's hair, giving backrubs etc. It was a little strange to me, but to them it was normal. It wasn't for attention, just being platonically affectionate I guess. They weren't the attention seeking types.
ReplyThis is completely normal. I always do it with my friends
