Your first true love in glorious technicolour style x
ReplyIt’s often said we married our caregivers. Just some food for thought. Perhaps you married someone who will help you emotionally grow into a stronger version of yourself.
Silver linings can always be found if one looks.
ReplyThere are care givers everywhere. So you marry everyone of them? What you want is a dependency on you and that is not love.
ReplySigh...if I must break this down, “caregivers” was used to represent the collective, not just the author(or to you if you’re it). It would be unfair of me to assume that said author had a father around growing up (which is often the case of “caregiver” as it relates to women. Granted, I assume the author is female based on the use of “prince”.
Anyway, this is why you often hear that women marry their fathers and men marry their mothers...aka caregiver. Some men/women are raised by grandparents, aunts, uncles, foster parents, siblings, etc.
So, when the question of “who” was asked, even if in rhetoric, I was offering the psychological idea that we marry our caregivers because subconsciously we are attracted to those who carry similar characteristics.
