TW: scars, self-harm
"Scars should remind you of where you’ve been. But they don’t have to dictate where you’re going"
I love this saying. That's how I think about some of my scars actually. Those scars that I got whenever I climbed a mountain and got some scratches from the branches of the trees, the scars I got from when I was young and fell of my bike, the scars I got from school gym because I was too into it and ran too close to a wall and scoured my hand. All those scars I love. They tell a story of my life.
However, I have some scars that I am ashamed of. I have scars from a period in my live where I was feeling so alone, sad and just not good. I wanted to feel something else, so I did self-harm. They're not in a noticeable spot, so I'm happy about that. But you can see them when I wear shorts, or if I'm in a bikini. I don't like when people ask me about it, so I try to hide them.
Also, I have a scar because I got a mole removed. It's a sensitive area, and it didn't heal pretty at all. Now, it's on my back, but I don't like it.
ALSO: acne. I think that explains itself tbh haha.
I'm trying to love them, but it's difficult.
I just wanted to write this because I saw this quote on this website, and I wanted to share my feelings. It honestly feels good to write on here about whatever I want! :)

Youre right about that. They do remind me where ive been and what i went through. I used to selfharm as well and the scars arent noticable either until you really look.
