ReplyMy dear
just find some time for yourself every day, sit in quiet and do some breathing exercises. it will help your mind to settle down and maybe after some time, you will find something interesting.
ReplyHey there,
Don't worry about it too much. There are thousands of people who have no idea what they want to do with their life. My sister is finishing her PhD and she still has no idea what she wants to properly do. I'm halfway through a degree that I have no intention of continuing. It's scary as heck not knowing.
Any hobbies I have, I give up on. I'm like you, I get bored of them. Sometimes it takes a sudden change to realise what you're missing from your life.
For example, I'm British but I've moved to Asia for a semester to study. I wasn't homesick and I didn't miss anything until last week, when I realised how much I miss playing my musical instruments. I miss holding my ukulele and aimlessly plunking piano keys in my bedroom. I miss the feeling of playing something and realising: "Wait, I'm not actually crap at this". I have to listen to music constantly now, which is rare for me, just because it's the only thing that keeps me going now. Without it I'd have jumped on the next plane home. I can't wait to hold the ukulele and play Christmas songs when I'm back home.
My point is, sometimes you don't realise what you want until it's gone. One of these days you'll stop doing a hobby and start to miss it. It's taken me 20 years to realise what I truly love doing. I don't know how old you are but I know you're younger than me. I'm just saying that it might take a while, but eventually you'll find something you're passionate in. A lot of people that "have their life figured out" are some of the most lost. Keep trying new things out, find something you're good at and don't let it go. You'll miss it when it's gone.
Hope this has helped at least a little bit, good luck.
ReplyYour reply really opened my mind and helped me like a lot you have no idea. It gave me the reassurance to not rush things because eventually it'll come to you. Thank you so much, i hope you'll continue loving what you're doing right now and things are going well for you. I wish you good luck.
