I'm worried about my friend. I think she has depression
I don't know. I don't know for sure. She jokes a lot. She's essentially outgoing. She doesn't look to be feeling any more down. But. I don't know. How do I describe it? She's not into it. She'll make a joke like she always does. But it's not funny TO HER. She's avoided events. If she can, she'll stay at home. I... I don't think she's happy. But like I said, I can't be sure. But I think she is. I think she has depression.
And then I guess the question is, what do I do? How do I best help her? Last year, I had depression. But I'm BETTER now. And I'm HAPPY now. But I had an amazing experience at camp. How does everyone else overcome it? From last year, I don't want to make a big deal out of it. I DON'T want to make it seem like I'm pitying her. I just want to let her know I care. So I've tried to get her to come out more. Spend time with us instead of going home. I tried so hard to get her to come to some event we were having tonight. But she didn't come. And I don't know if I made it worse by pushing so hard.
I just don't' know what to do. How do I help her? Everything I see about this is how to identify if the people close to you are in need of help. I really think she is. But how? How do I help her? I want to help her so much. But I don't know how. She's so wonderful, how do I help her? I don't want to make a big deal of this, I'm sure that will make it worse.
But I don't know how to help her.
