My therapist talked about each of the distortions: All or nothing thinking, Over Generalization, Mental Filter, Discounting the positives, Mind-Reading, Fortune Telling, Magnification or minimization, Emotional Reasoning, Should Statements, Labeling, and Personalization and blame.
She told me to stop the distortions whenever I have it but I never told her about being "paranoid" and being afraid of being vulnerable and taken advantage of. I am still going to stick with my thinking because I don't want to be a fool, better safe than sorry. Thankfully the therapy sessions were free anyway but it isn't unlimited.
