My teacher made us do our foreign language oral exam questions at the top of the classroom sitting facing her. I was already so nervous. Then I was the last person of the day to do that exam and she gave me the option to do it there and then or wait until Monday morning. I decided to leave it until the Monday. Awful decision. I had a panic attack after that class and again the Monday morning I was supposed to do it. She gave out shite to me for asking could I do it during a free class when it’d only be me and her there, even though other students were allowed she wouldn’t let me. Even after I told her about the panic attacks. I knew every answer because I’d made sure to come prepared so that I wouldn’t cry or break down in the middle of it from the stress of doing so badly in the exam. I know I’m really strong in that subject but it wasn’t answering the questions I was worried about, it was just the build up of dread beforehand. So a huge tip for other people with anxiety>>> delaying something you will eventually have to do anyway makes it so much more terrifying. Get it over with fast and you will feel sSsoo relieved after.
