I am now divorced. Me and my ex split March of 2018 so we are going on two years apart. I have been in a relationship for about a year and a half now and he really helped me get through the rough times but now I find my self thinking more and more about my ex.
I'm having a hard time being able to completely move on. I thought I had but obviously not. It was messy and I have a lot of guilt and regret over how I handled things. I'm NOT wanting him back, I just honestly want to move on so I can be happy in my current life without dwelling on the past.
It was a relationship filled with many ups and many downs. I have to constantly remind myself of the bad times and everything that went wrong because all that my mind is remembering are the good times...

Even though you are split from your ex you are still emotionally connected to this person. Write down all of the person's bad points and every time you think about him read the list. I did this with an ex and it helped wonderfully.
