Cramps + Anxiety bishessss
Aaahh it's that time of the month again, and I am NOT looking forward to it. Also I'm low-key addicted to food+sugar, I don't know I CAN'T stop eating literal...
if you worry too much about it you should go see a doctor just to be clear about it. I have my periods delayed as well. it is consistent for some months and then becomes irregular all of a sudden. Like rn it still hasn't come yet for this month. longest I havent had was like for 3 mo. I think the effect is that I get cramps soo bad
ReplyIf you're only 14, then your periods have only just begun! They will fluctuate all throughout the course of your entire life! Eventually, they will settle to a rhythm of a certain number of days and certain level of heaviness but that might establish itself when you pass the whole puberty age (i.e. age 18-ish). Even then, they might change again after a few years, our bodies are always changing!
However, if you ever find that you skip a month or more, see a doctor! There are a lot of things that can cause skipping months (not getting enough nutrients, being too/not enough active, hormones, or something more serious like ovarian cysts). If you skip a month or more, see a doctor asap! It definitely doesn't mean your pregnant if you haven't been having sex.
If it helps, I'm a teacher aha. When I was in university I went 8 months without a period because I was scared to mention it to my parents before they freaked out about me being pregnant so I completely understand the concern!
ReplyAh don't worry a single bit, you're still pretty young. Mine didn't stabilise until I got to about 18. When I was 14 I would have them last over 2 weeks, a week break, and then they would come back again for another 2. It was THE WORST, so believe me, if you're 14 and they're light at the moment then you're extremely lucky :P Between 11-19 your period will continue to change, and it is 100% normal. Only time it isn't really normal is when it's extremely heavy or you start to feel very unwell every time it arrives.
I wouldn't worry about it, but if you do get worried then you can always go to the doctor and explain how you feel about it. They will be able to give you a better explanation than me, and if they think it's best to do so, they may also consider giving you the pill or recommend other solutions.
But again, don't fret. You're still young. What you are experiencing is very normal. Make the most of the limited days you have it because IM VERY JEALOUS.
