Hello . Who is a German lawyer here or someone who knows German laws ??
My Male friend is getting a divorce . He had no children.
He recieved a letter that he has to pay 45% of his salary to his wife .
How long does he have to pay and is it credible that He has to pay this important percentage of his salary??
Thank you

Were they legally married in Germany? There are lots of bilingual lawyers available in Germany, and a quick internet search could find them. A 45% rate of salary withdraw sounds excessive, especially with no children involved. Look up the names on the document and see what firm drafted the document and show said document to the lawyer. If no time is specified on the document for payments to begin, nor any communications sent clarifying the conditions, then consulting legal advice from a lawyer would be ideal as soon as possible, within days of now. Best wishes to your friend, and may she and him part on good terms. If they were not meant to be, they are being prepared for their one.
ReplyFirst find out who the letter is from. It may be from a friend of his wife or someone she knows. It might have been sent to scare him so check it right out.
