A letter to my lost love:
I have written you many letters in the past. Maybe you kept them. Maybe you threw them all away.
I intend for this to be my last that I give to you.
I'd like to thank you for all the memories we have shared and all the lessons that I have learned with you. I thank you for being the best first love I could have ever asked for and the best first heartbreak I could have ever hoped for. Lastly, I thank you for being my first lost love.
I believe that you will always have a piece of my heart and that there will be days where I long for you and your hugs. I say that because, even at this moment, I still feel so much love for you. However, until we can love each other without reservation or doubt, without the ghost of the past weighing heavily on our hearts, I think I have to say goodbye.
If, one day, we find each other again, I will thank God. But if we don't, then I will treasure what we had as my first epic love and I hope one day, you'll look back fondly at what we had.
Yours truly.
