Very interested to know why???

So the other few days ago I found out that online jobs only allow 2-3% of applicants to get accepted for the job they applied for online... That's messed up because I applied to more then 20-50 jobs on a daily or every other day basis when able to if our wifi don't give out on us because it has been recently. Plus I exercise with my dog often and not many wifi spots are around here, always resting because I'm sore alot. Unfortunately I'm not real social unless I know the person personally, most people I know are much older then me like im 22 and they're 50+ 60+ I guess I get along with older people and not so much my age group.. but then again idk... I've used the people I know for reference like we're told to do but no one will hire me and with the virus around I don't know how it will be possible to work under these conditions because people are starving now and I'm afraid to starve 😲😲😲 not trying to overreact but God damn why are so many people dying and going hungry.
