I'm thinking about changing my religion but I'm worried about losing my family and friends and so much more. Does anyone here have some experience with this?

Don't don't change your religion.
ReplyMay I ask why?
ReplyI think this is a very important turn in your life. Before you take a decision, I suggest that you revise your reasons to turn into this religion. If you are committing yourself into one, and you truly believe in this, you may have context to discuss this with your friends and family. Try not to convert them tho:)
ReplyI feel like they will try to convert me back. I truly believe in this with all my heart. I just don't know how to tell them without losing everyone.
ReplyFinding peace within yourself is more important than what the world thinks of you.
God is not about religious choices. I would be more concerned about the crux of the relationship with God and not opinions of friends and family. I would asked the question :
Is your devotion more about appearances or the foundation laid with the Creator?
The best "church" is the one within you. The personal relationship that you have with God.
The interest is of your heart, not religion.
ReplyThank you for your encouraging comment. I have decided to follow my heart and go through with the conversion. I want to be at peace.
ReplyI would suggest reading the book "Leaving the Fold". It is somewhat of a self help book for people who are leaving their religion. It has helped me immensely. Good luck!
