The whole covid19 scare is nonsense. The numbers prove it. Damn government. I am young and healthy. I want to get the corona virus and get over it, to promote herd immunity. I'd only be putting myself at risk, but somehow I'm the asshole.

Firstly, if you get it, even though you're not putting yourself at risk, you're putting multiple strangers at risk by just walking past them. You're putting your family with underlying conditions at risk. I understand that you don't want to stay at home all day everyday. But just do it so you can walk around without hurting others.
ReplyObviously I'd stay at home if I were sick. I do the same when I have the flu.
ReplyYou sure you'd be putting only yourself? The virus might not effect you but it'll keep linger around if you're infected & might effect the people around you instead :(
ReplyThere is no evidence that confirms after contracting the virus you are guaranteed immunity.
Whilst researchers speculate that infection numbers may be much higher i.e. people had the virus and recovered before testing and lockdown measures where enforced, it may reoccur in those people in much the same way as influenza does each year assuming covid-19 remains in the community.
It is too early to speculate on whether an effective vaccine can be developed, if one is developed it would be the first vaccine for a virus in the coronavirus family, look at SARS and MERS.
The virus itself triggers an immune system response, it is this that causes the body to ‘overreact’. So assuming you are healthy and maintain a good balanced diet, you have a better chance at preventing the virus from causing damage.
ReplyVaccines work the same way as catching it, vaccines are just usually dead viruses and in small quantities. If I get covid19, I'll get over it as if I had received a vaccine.
