You are eternal. I’m not talking about you, the child, sibling, spouse, partner, parent, friend, neighbor, co-worker, citizen. The Awareness that has any of these titles and your name was not born and will not die. Within ITSELF, the CREATOR set energy in motion with some of it becoming sparse concentrations (matter). Individuated Awarenesses (you, me, and others), as spirit essence, are infused in this energy dispersion to evolve by experiencing movement, variation, contrast, change, etc. through the matter (the forms) that emerge. The largest forms are stars and many of them have planets. We are in them. On this planet we are in earth, water, air, and fire having little interest in the activity that includes and surrounds us - just being, mostly. We are in every single cell plant and animal, drawn to nourishment and recoiling from threats. Biological evolution guides many of these cells to combine, mutate and reproduce yielding trillions of unique microbes, vegetation, fish, insects, birds, land animals, and humans. We are the life spirit in each of them. When our host dies, a new microbe, seedling, or embryo of the same or similar form is chosen as the vehicle through which our development continues.
In creatures, we experience autonomy, feel hunger, sense danger, and instinctively recognize, communicate, and cooperate with others in our specie group. As human, with a more advanced mind and memory, we develop a sense of self and an ego mentality which are essential when survival is threatened. When this threat diminishes, eventually so does our reliance on these mental constructs, allowing us to focus more on the quality of our relationships and spiritual life. It takes many returning life times for each of us to learn required lessons. We bring with us, from one to the next, our unresolved issues and evolving tendencies, temperament, potential, and compassion, but bring no memories.
Individual experiences vary as does spiritual maturity levels. Each of us is perfectly OK as we are right now and how we choose to proceed. However, pride, prejudice, jealousy, greed, deception, anger, hate, and anything else that damages relationships delay progress. Forgiveness, optimism, serving others, and loving unconditionally speed it up. Illness, trauma, and adversity occur in most lives because difficulties are just more effective than ease and comfort in urging us to find answers to these questions; ‘Why is this happening? How is this fair? When will this end? Who are we, really? What is our purpose? Where are we headed?
Our evolution at the human level primarily involves expanding our perspective and improving our choices in how to be and behave. This learning and choosing continues until, as an individual, we no longer have relationship issues, allowing an end to the re-incarnation cycle. From this point forward, assisting those who want help and accepting the guidance needed to do this more effectively is a major focus. Even for guardian angels, sometimes efforts produce disappointing outcomes, requiring review, consultation, and consensus to come up with adjusted strategies. Guaranteed results are rare. At this level and beyond, our experiences are increasingly joyful and peaceful consisting of joining with others to be helpful, celebrating, contemplation, and silence.
The CREATOR knows ITSELF through us, the Awarenesses that reside in everything. You, I, and others are Eternal Spirit Beings on an evolutionary journey that ultimately leads to Unity, to Oneness, back to our SOURCE. We are on our way home and no one will be left behind.

ReplyI'm not of the Hindu religion, but your perspective brings a fusion of Hinduism, Buddhism and Christianity to my mind.
May God bless all the countries around the globe where the freedom is granted to believe in whatever spiritual teachings we want without the threat of being beheaded if we don't submit to the national religion.

ReplyI don't know anything about Hinduism. Most of what I know of Buddhism I learned from reading Alan Watts. I was born to Baptist parents, baptized Catholic (my wife and kids are life time Catholics) almost 40 years ago but gave up on religion 10 years later. I write down what I believe to be the truth and keep it close. I share these short summaries with close family and a few friends. None of them are really interested. So I evolve alone for now. Thanks for noticing my post.
